Owner Lauren Hood opened PROGENY after searching high and low for
children's clothing that was wearable, yet fashionable. Growing up in
the south, traditional smocked clothing is the norm for children's
boutiques and big box/department stores are the go-to for play clothes,
with little in between. Armed with a list of her favorite brands and a
dream to create something different, Lauren opened PROGENY in March
2014. The beautiful, light-filled store and an ever-growing website
quickly gained loyal customers locally, nationally, and internationally.
PROGENY has been featured on popular lifestyle blogs including
ISUWANNEE, Designer Bags and Dirty Diapers, Amber Interiors, Ministyle

In addition to our online store, we operate a brick and mortar showroom in the historic Five Points neighborhood of Raleigh, NC. We are committed to carrying high-quality clothing and accessories that are fashion-forward and original, while also maintaining a traditional sensibility that evokes the innocence of childhood. We love finding independent, creative, unique, organic, comfortable, socially-conscious brands that both children and parents will love. Our Raleigh store has a collection of items from local artists and designers. Our INTERIORS arm offers an array of design services for busy parents looking for ways to create vibrant and inspiring spaces for their children - including nurseries, bedrooms, playrooms, family rooms, and more.
